The experience

Water puppetry is a centuries-old Vietnamese art form, and the Thang Long show is the place to see it performed live. The puppets move across a water stage while musicians play traditional instruments offstage, telling stories of rural life, folklore and historical events. By booking your ticket ahead, you skip the queue that forms at the box office and walk straight in once you arrive.

You choose which showtime works for your schedule when you book. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the performance starts, find your seat in whichever class you selected, and the show unfolds over roughly an hour. The performance is live, so each showing is its own event. The puppeteers and musicians are there in the theater with you, not a recording.

Standard Class seating gives you a full view of the water stage. Deluxe Class moves you closer and offers better sightlines. VIP Class is the front-row experience. All three options include admission and the full performance. The difference is where you sit and how near you are to the action.
