The experience

The cruise picks you up from Hanoi Old Quarter between 8:00 and 8:30 AM and drives you to Tuan Chau wharf on the new highway. After boarding at 12:15 PM, you settle into your private cabin with air conditioning, bathroom and hot showers, then eat lunch while the boat heads toward Halong Bay. The itinerary centers on water activities: you kayak at Pearl Farm village to watch pearl-making, then paddle to Titop Island where you can climb to the peak for views across the bay or swim in the water. A sunset party with fruit and snacks happens on the Margaret Sky Bar at 6:00 PM, followed by a cooking demonstration on how to make Vietnamese spring rolls. A hands-on class held onboard.

The second morning starts at 6:30 AM with a Tai Chi lesson on deck, then light breakfast. At 7:30 AM you visit Sung Sot Cave, the largest cave in Halong Bay, which requires climbing so sneakers are necessary. After checking out at 9:30 AM, you eat a buffet brunch while the cruise returns to Tuan Chau Wharf, then the shuttle takes you back to Hanoi by 2:30 PM. Between the structured activities, the itinerary includes squid fishing at night, massage services available onboard, and free time to make friends with other guests. Meals across the two days are two lunches, one dinner and one breakfast. Water, tea and fresh fruit are available in your cabin.

The cruise operates with a live English or Vietnamese-speaking guide. Your booking includes the Ha Long Bay tour permit, entrance fees, sightseeing fees, welcome drinks, and insurance onboard. Depending on the option you choose at checkout, round-trip shuttle transport from Hanoi Old Quarter is included, or you can arrange your own transport to the harbor.

Is this one for you?Choose the morning departure from Hanoi Old Quarter if you want the shuttle included and prefer not to arrange your own transport to the wharf. If you're booking from the harbor instead, you'll coordinate your own arrival at Tuan Chau.
