Vanuatu Jungle Zipline: 6 lines across canyons, self-drive option
Six ziplines, one 300-metre canyon crossing, and a canopy walk 65 metres above the jungle floor.
The Vanuatu Jungle Zipline is a 3.5-hour activity where you zip across six lines totaling 1.4 kilometers through jungle ravines and canyons, then walk a 120-metre Skybridge and tour Summit Gardens with a professional guide. Children from age 5 can participate when accompanied by an adult; the weight limit is 120 kilograms. You drive yourself to the site, and the guide meets you there.
The Experience
You'll zip across six lines strung across the ravines—the final one stretches 300 metres across a canyon, with Mele Bay visible far below. Between each zipline are short jungle walks that let you catch your breath and take in the ridge-line views. The course covers 1.4 kilometers total, and a professional guide leads the whole thing, handling the setup and safety checks so you focus on the ride.
After the ziplines, you walk the Skybridge: a 120-metre span suspended 65 metres above the jungle floor, with a seasonal waterfall visible from the middle. It's the place most people stop to photograph. Then the guide takes you through Summit Gardens, a tropical collection with winding pathways and Balinese-inspired landscaping—the views from there look back over the ravines you just crossed.
The activity takes 3.5 to 4 hours total from Port Vila, including the drive. Bring closed-in shoes, comfortable clothing (no short shorts or dresses), water, and a camera or phone—pouches are provided to keep devices safe during the ziplines. Rain jackets are available if the weather turns. You'll have lockable storage for gear you're not carrying, and the guide speaks English.

Can my 7-year-old do the ziplines with me?
Children from age 5 can zipline when accompanied by an adult, so your child can go through the course with you. The guide will brief both of you on safety before you start.
What's the 300-metre zipline actually like?
The final zipline crosses a canyon and is the longest of the six—you're suspended above the ravine with Mele Bay visible below. It's the signature moment of the course, and most people take photos from the landing platform before moving on to the Skybridge.
Do I need to be very fit to do this?
The activity requires at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The ziplines themselves are the main physical demand; the jungle walks between them are short. If you have spinal injuries or cardiovascular concerns, this activity is not recommended.
What happens if it rains?
Rain jackets are provided if needed. The course operates in light rain, though heavy weather may affect visibility. Bring a waterproof bag or use the pouches provided to protect your phone or camera.
How does the self-drive option work?
You drive yourself from Port Vila to the zipline site. The guide meets you there and leads the entire activity—the self-drive option just means you're not picked up by a shuttle. Parking is available at the location.
Is food or water included?
Bring your own bottle of water for the activity. Food and drinks are not included, so plan to eat before you arrive or bring snacks if you prefer.
