Six mountainside ziplines with views of Arkansas River Valley and Collegiate Peaks

Mountaintop ziplining in Buena Vista, Colorado, on six lines that carry you over 3,500 feet of terrain built into the natural mountainside. You'll glide between peaks above the Arkansas River Valley, see the Collegiate Peaks from your elevated vantage point, and finish on a 900-foot dual race line where you can race a friend or family member. The course runs three hours and welcomes children from age seven.

The experience

You arrive at the mountaintop course and get fitted with a harness, helmet and gloves. A live guide in English walks your group through the setup and safety on each line before you clip in. The six ziplines are woven into the mountainside itself rather than strung between towers, so the terrain changes under you as you move from one to the next. You're not floating above the landscape, you're threaded through it. The Arkansas River winds below and the Collegiate Peaks sit on the horizon the whole time.

The pace is yours to set within the course structure: you move through the lines at your own speed, and the guide is there to answer questions and make sure everyone is ready before the next run. The 900-foot dual race line at the end is the one moment the group does together: two people clip in side by side and race to the bottom, which is where most of the laughter happens. Families and groups of friends tend to book this together because there's no waiting around between runs. You're moving and talking the whole time.

The whole outing runs three hours from start to finish. Bring water and wear closed-toe shoes. The guide provides everything else you need to stay safe and comfortable on the lines.
