The experience
You start at the Cool Down Coffee Shop at the E Street/Bay Front trolley station in Chula Vista, where your private vehicle picks up your group: no strangers, just your party. The tour runs six hours and hits five stops, each one chosen to show you how Tijuana actually works rather than how it looks in a postcard. The vehicle is air-conditioned and stays with you the whole time, so you move between neighborhoods without waiting for a shared bus or figuring out the transit yourself.
The Tijuana Cultural Center opens the day: you walk through the museum and botanical gardens, then move to Boulevard Heroes for sightseeing. From there you head to Playas de Tijuana to see Trump's Wall, take pictures at the beach, and order cocktails and ceviche tostadas while you're there. Avenida Revolución comes next: the street where you walk, shop, and stop for craft beer or tequila tastings from Jalisco, Ensenada or Tijuana itself. The famous Caesars Restaurant sits on this avenue. You can order the Caesar's salad there if you want it (that's your cost), or keep moving past the Jai Alai building and Caliente Casino. Lunch happens at Tacos Taconazo in Zona Rio: real Mexican tacos of pork, beef or vegetarian, all of them loaded with guacamole and salsa, plus a beverage included. The last stop is Mercado Hidalgo, the city market where locals buy their food. You have time to try churros with chocolate and pick up souvenirs before heading back.
Your guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian and stays with the group the whole time. The tour works for families with children from age four onward. Infants can ride in a stroller or sit on an adult's lap. Minimum booking is four people, so you're never split up or added to a stranger's group.

What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish and Italian.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (4 to 14 years). Children under 4 can't be included in the booking.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What is Mercado Hidalgo and why is it the last stop on this tour?
Mercado Hidalgo is the city market where Tijuana locals buy their food and everyday goods. It's the last stop because it gives you a real look at how the city feeds itself, and you have time to try churros with chocolate and shop for souvenirs before the tour ends.
Can I actually try the Caesar's salad at Caesars Restaurant, or is it just a walk-by?
You walk Avenida Revolución and pass Caesars Restaurant, where the Caesar's salad was invented. You can order and eat it there if you want to, but that meal is your own cost. It's not included in the tour price. Lunch is the tacos at Tacos Taconazo, which are included.
What does the craft beer and tequila tasting include?
The tasting is included in the tour price. You choose either tequila and mezcal from Jalisco or craft beer from Ensenada and Tijuana, and you try them while walking Avenida Revolución.
Is this tour suitable if I've never been to Tijuana before?
Yes. The tour is designed to show you how Tijuana actually works: the markets, the streets locals use, the food they eat, and the cultural center. Your guide speaks English, Spanish or Italian and stays with your group the whole time, so you're not navigating on your own.
How does pickup work if I'm staying in San Diego?
Pickup is included. You meet at the Cool Down Coffee Shop at the E Street/Bay Front trolley station in Chula Vista, which is the starting point. The tour departs on time with a 15-minute grace period, so arrive early enough to be ready when the vehicle is there.
