The experience

Five hours in a private Mercedes takes you through three Temecula wineries, each one structured around a different way to taste. At Somerset, the driver-guide walks you behind the scenes of the winemaking operation before pouring six wines: roughly three medium glasses total across the tasting. At Falkner, you sit down to lunch with a glass of wine included, choosing from options like Santa Barbara salad with grilled chicken or a BLATT sandwich. The day ends at Callaway on weekdays or Bel Vino on weekends, where you get to pick which six wines you want to taste instead of having them pre-selected for you.

The vehicle adjusts to your group size: a Mercedes Sprinter for groups of four to five, a limousine or sedan for smaller parties. Your driver is also your guide, so there's no separate tour leader. Just someone who knows the wineries, can answer questions about what you're tasting, and will take photos at the scenic vineyard overlooks. Bottled water comes with the tour. Everything else (food outside the wineries, gratuity for the driver). You arrange separately. You'll need a valid ID matching your booking confirmation to check in at the bus on Rancho California Road.
