The Experience

The minibus leaves Las Vegas every Sunday from April through October, heading straight into Utah and the red-rock country that most people only see in photographs. Day one lands you at Zion National Park, where the canyon walls rise so high they block out half the sky. You get the afternoon and evening free to walk the Emerald Pools Trail if you want something gentle, or tackle The Narrows if you're ready to wade through the Virgin River with canyon walls closing in on both sides. The choice is yours—trails here run the full range of fitness levels, and the guide points out landmarks like the Great White Throne and Weeping Rock as you go.

By day two you're at Bryce Canyon, where the landscape stops looking like Earth. The hoodoos—those thin, rust-colored spires—rise from an amphitheater of stone, and you can either walk the rim for the full view or hike down into them. Day three and four split between Arches and Canyonlands near Moab. Arches has over 2,000 natural stone arches, and the hike to Delicate Arch, a 65-foot freestanding formation, is the one everyone wants. Canyonlands spreads across the Colorado and Green Rivers, with stories attached to every ridge—Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid used these canyons as hideouts in the late 1800s. You get a full day to explore at your own pace, or book an optional sunset Hummer tour if you want something more.

Day five takes you past Lake Powell to Monument Valley, the landscape that defined the Western film. A local Navajo guide leads a Jeep tour off-road through the red formations, and you'll camp under a sky so full of stars it's hard to believe it's real. Day six is the Grand Canyon's South Rim. You can walk the rim at sunset, hike into the canyon itself, or add a helicopter ride to see the Colorado River and the Kaibab National Forest from above—that's an upgrade, but worth considering. Before the Grand Canyon, there's an optional stop at Antelope Canyon, the world's most photographed slot canyon, and a walk out to Horseshoe Bend. Day seven is the drive back to Las Vegas along historic Route 66, with time to rest before the evening.

Lodging is a 3-star hotel room or a camping setup—foam sleeping pad, tent you set up yourself with guide help. Meals are a local food kitty paid on day one: $125 for camping (covers six breakfasts, four dinners, seven packed lunches) or $85 for lodging (lunches only). The minibus is air-conditioned, park entry fees are included, and the tour runs in small groups. If you book eight seats, you get a fully private tour instead. The app has commentary in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese.

What’s included

Your seven days include air-conditioned minibus transport from Las Vegas, entry to Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, and Grand Canyon South Rim, a Navajo-guided off-road Jeep tour through Monument Valley, lodging in 3-star hotels or camping with foam sleeping pad and tent setup, six breakfasts and four dinners plus seven packed lunches (camping option) or lunches only (lodging option), professional guide commentary in English and app commentary in six additional languages, and a meal kitty of $125 (camping) or $85 (lodging) paid on the first day. Is this one for you? This tour works for travelers who want to see the major Southwest parks in one trip without arranging transport, park tickets, meals, or lodging separately—the fixed itinerary and included logistics are what fit six national parks into seven days. It suits mixed fitness levels because you choose your hikes each day, though it's not recommended for people with poor cardiovascular health, and children under 17 must travel with an adult.
