The experience

You arrive at the boat ready to fish, and the crew handles the rest. Everything you need (rods, reels, bait, tackle and snorkel gear) is already aboard. They take care of permits and setup so you can focus on what's in the water. Once you've worked the reefs for snappers, groupers, yellow tail and barracuda, the boat moves to a snorkeling spot where sea turtles, reef fish and other marine life are within arm's reach of the surface. The guide stays with you throughout, and if your catch is worth keeping, they'll fillet and store it for you to take home.

Sandwiches and various beverages come with the trip, along with towels and fresh water. The outing runs 4, 6 or 8 hours depending on which option you book: enough time to fish two different reefs and snorkel without feeling rushed. Infants can come along (they sit on an adult's lap), and the activity suits all fitness levels, so families and mixed-ability groups work here.
