The Experience
Two hours gets you through Sedona's most recognizable landmarks without the hiking. The jeep follows paved roads the whole way, starting at Airport Mesa Overlook where you get 360-degree views of the red rocks surrounding the valley. From there the route moves to Seven Canyons on the north side, where the landscape opens into seven different canyon entrances and the red rock formations shift as you drive. A single photo stop of 10 to 15 minutes breaks up the drive so you can step out and frame the view.
The guide is a live person who knows the area and points out features as you move through town. Bottled water comes with the tour. If you're bringing a dog over 25 pounds, let the operator know in advance—they'll charge you at the child rate for the extra space. Children as young as one can ride along; those five and under need a car seat you provide yourself.
