A two-hour glassblowing workshop at The Melting Point in Sedona where you make a glass flower under the guidance of an on-site artist. All materials are included. Your finished piece is ready for pickup the next morning, with shipping available if you need it. Children from age 7 are welcome.

The experience

The Melting Point is a working hotshop and fine art gallery in Sedona where glassblowers teach you to make a one-of-a-kind glass flower. You'll work alongside an on-site artist who handles the technical setup while you choose your colors and the style of the piece. The artist guides you through each step (how to work the glass, when to turn it, how to shape it), so you're making real decisions about what comes out of the furnace, not just watching a demonstration.

The two-hour session covers everything you need: the tools, the heat management, the color selection. All materials are included in the workshop fee. Because glass needs time to cool properly, your finished flower stays at the studio overnight to anneal. You pick it up the next morning, or if you're traveling through, The Melting Point can ship it to you for an additional cost. Either way, you leave with something you actually made, not a souvenir someone else produced.
