The experience

You meet your guide at Johnson Square in downtown Savannah and walk the streets as locals do, not as tourists moving between photo stops. The guide shares the stories that make Savannah America's most haunted city: bloody battles, deadly diseases, fearsome fires and mysterious murders that shaped Georgia's First City. You'll stop at the most haunted pubs and taverns along the way, including the historic Tondee's Tavern where the tour begins, and you'll learn about the hauntings specific to each place: the spirits of James Habersham Sr. and Jr. still said to haunt the Old Pink House in Reynolds Square, and Jacob, who never left the old cotton warehouse that is now the Bayou Cafe.

The route takes you through River Street and Factor's Walk, two of Savannah's oldest and most active haunted areas. At each stop, the guide fills in the history behind the hauntings, who died there, how, and why locals believe they stayed. The final stop lands you at the East Bay Inn, where you'll meet Charlie, the resident ghost, over craft cocktails from Tandem Coffee & Spirits. Drinks are available for purchase at each pub. The tour itself does not include alcohol, so you choose what and where you spend at the bar.
