The experience

The ride starts at Bear Creek Lake Park, where the electric bike does the work while you watch for deer, bobcats, mountain lions and moose that live in the area. From there you follow the creek into Morrison, Colorado, moving at a pace the e-bike motor handles so you can focus on the landscape instead of the pedaling.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre is the only naturally occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheater in the world, and the tour brings you to it by bike instead of a car. After Red Rocks, you ride up and over Dinosaur Ridge, where you stop at points of interest to see the fossils and dinosaur prints pressed into the hogback and learn how they came to be there. The whole tour runs three hours.

You wear a helmet throughout and bring water. Both are included. A live guide in English leads the group and explains what you're seeing at each stop. The e-bike means you don't need to be an experienced cyclist, but you do need to be at least 18 years old and able to ride safely when you arrive: anyone deemed unsafe won't be permitted on the tour.
