The experience

Landing at Orlando International can feel like a blur, especially after a long flight with cranky kids or heavy bags. I remember stepping off the plane and getting that first whiff of Florida’s humid air, then seeing my name on a sign just outside baggage claim. No waiting in line for a crowded bus or trying to figure out which ride share is mine. Our driver, Mike, texted as soon as we landed and was already parked nearby in the cell lot. He helped us load up our bags (even my daughter’s pink stroller), and within minutes we were gliding down the highway in an air-conditioned van with free WiFi: my teens were instantly happy.

The best part? The whole ride was just for us. No extra stops, no strangers squeezed in beside us. Mike gave us tips about Cocoa Beach (“If you want real ice cream, check out Fat Donkey”), pointed out where the cruise ships dock, and even told us which side of the ship gets the sunrise view. When cruise day rolled around, he showed up right on time at our hotel lobby: no stress about missing boarding because someone else was late. After our trip, all it took was a quick call from the port and he pulled up right where we got dropped off before. It made everything so much easier than I expected.
