The experience

The day starts with pickup at your Waikiki hotel in a deluxe touring vehicle. Your driver shares context about Hawaiian history and the events of December 7, 1941, as you travel to Pearl Harbor. Once there, you move at your own pace through three separate sites: the Ford Island Control Tower (a guided climb to the summit for 360° views of the harbor and Battleship Row), the USS Arizona Memorial (which marks the resting place of 1,102 sailors and Marines killed in the attack), and the Battleship Missouri, the last battleship commissioned by the United States and the site where Japan's surrender was signed in 1945. All three admissions are included.

Lunch happens at the Hangar Cafe inside the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum on Ford Island. The tour does not operate on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, or December 7th. On rare occasions (due to weather, National Park Service closures, or limited boat launch availability) the Arizona Memorial boat tour may not run. You will still see the memorial from the Visitor Center shoreline and explore the exhibits there. Ford Island is an active military base, so you will need a government-issued photo ID and cannot carry bags. Keep only essentials (ID, wallet) in your pockets.

The no-bag policy applies across Pearl Harbor: no purses, backpacks, or diaper bags are allowed. Small cameras are fine if not in a bag, and nothing can be left on the vehicle.
