The experience
You take off from the Green Pleasure Pier in Avalon and fly up to 800 feet above the water, tethered to a parachute behind the boat. The setup is straightforward: no experience is required, and whether you go solo, tandem or triple, the takeoff and landing both happen directly from the boat, so there's no swimming involved. The one-hour trip gives you time in the air to see the rugged cliffs, the charming town of Avalon, and the clear water below, with the boat crew handling all the technical work while you focus on the view.
The first trip of the day comes with a major discount, which is the main reason to book this particular departure. If you want photos of your flight, a photo package is available for $25 per group, collected onsite. An observer ticket for $25 per person also lets a friend or family member ride along on the boat to watch, subject to availability.
Safety equipment is included, and the English-speaking guide walks you through everything before you leave the pier. Service animals are allowed on the boat.
