New River Gorge Off-Road Family Side by Side Tour

Drive your own ATV through 100 miles of New River Gorge trails, from beginner to expert terrain.

A 3-hour guided off-road tour in New River Gorge where you drive your own Side by Side ATV (up to 4 riders per vehicle) on trails ranging from beginner to expert, with helmets, orientation and a live guide included. Drivers must be at least 25 with a valid US driver's license. Passengers can be as young as 8. The tour meets at the operator's facility, covers the vehicle rental agreement and liability waiver, and ends after approximately 2 hours on the trail.

The experience

You arrive at the facility at your scheduled time and meet your guide, who walks you through the rental agreement and liability waiver before you suit up. Helmets go on, and you get a full orientation on how to operate the Side by Side, what the trail rules are, and how to ride safely. Then you head out onto the trails for roughly 2 hours, riding through the landscape of New River Gorge with your guide leading the way.

The terrain varies across more than 100 miles of trails, so your guide picks the route that matches your group's skill level, whether you're new to off-road riding or looking for a challenge. Technical sections and views of the gorge are part of the ride. Bottled water is provided, and the whole outing from arrival to departure runs about 3 hours.
