You meet at the facility, sign the rental agreement, get outfitted and briefed on bike operation and trail etiquette, then ride for approximately 2.5 hours. Minimum age is 18 with a valid US driver's license.

The experience

New River Gorge has over 100 miles of trails, and the guide will route you based on your riding experience, or lack of it. After you meet at the facility and sign the rental agreement and liability waiver, you'll get a helmet and a full orientation on how to operate the ATV, what the procedures are, and how to ride the trail respectfully. Then you're off for approximately 2.5 hours, riding the terrain and taking in the landscape the gorge offers.

The ATVs are top-of-the-line machines, which means they handle well whether you're on a beginner run or pushing into expert terrain. The guide stays with you the whole time, so if you need to adjust the pace or the difficulty, that's built into the ride. Bottled water is included, and the facility itself is wheelchair accessible.
