The Experience

“Y’all ever wonder why this street smells like barbecue even at 10am?” Big E asked as we rolled down Broadway, top down, wind tangling my hair. I’d barely settled into the old Bronco’s cracked leather seat before he was off—pointing out a faded sign above a honky-tonk and telling us about some country singer who used to sneak in through the alley behind it.
