The Experience

"You're going to see the real Miami today — not the postcards," our guide said as the Mercedes pulled up, and that's exactly what happened. The 4-hour tour starts at your hotel and moves through six distinct neighborhoods without feeling rushed. You get 30 minutes walking the Wynwood Walls, where the murals cover entire buildings in color, and another 30 minutes in Little Havana where the rhythm of the place — the domino games at Domino Park, the live Cuban music at Ball and Chain, the smell of cigars being rolled in the lounge — actually sticks with you.

The drive itself is part of the tour. You'll cruise Ocean Drive past the Versace Villa, cross the Venetian Causeway with views of the bay opening up on both sides, pass the Kaseya Center (home of the Miami Heat), and stop at Virginia Key for skyline photos that actually look like Miami. The guide narrates the history of Brickell Avenue, points out the Pérez Art Museum and the Frost Museum as you pass, and spends time on the Freedom Tower and its significance.
