The Experience

The tour starts at your hotel and moves through Miami's layered history in a Mercedes-Benz Executive Sprinter equipped with an LCD display showing black-and-white photographs of the city's past. You'll begin in the Art Deco Historic District, where pastel-colored buildings from the 1920s line the streets—many of them recognizable from films like Scarface, The Birdcage and Bad Boys. The guide walks you through South Pointe Park, where you see Fisher Island and the arc of Miami's story from its first settlers through the Cuban boat lift era to its present form.

Wynwood Walls is the centerpiece stop: the most renowned street artists in the world are handpicked to paint these murals, and you'll stand in front of work that changes the neighborhood's identity. The tour also passes the Freedom Tower, built in 1925 as the Miami Metropolis offices and later the processing center for Cuban exiles, and the Kaseya Center, home of the Miami Heat. Downtown Miami gets its own stretch—the Financial District's rise from a population of 85 in 1871 to a major hub for the Americas.

Little Havana is the final stop, where the guide walks you through the neighborhood's culture. You drink Cuban coffee, watch cigar rolling firsthand, and visit Domino Park where Cuban seniors play all day. The tour ends at Ball and Chain, the Cuban restaurant and lounge that opened in 1935 and now serves mojitos and live music. Fiji water and a Cuban appetizer are included throughout the ride.
