The Experience

I’ll be honest — I booked this Miami open-air trolley tour mostly because I wanted to feel the city, not just stare at it through glass. Someone nearby was blasting salsa music from a doorway and it mixed with the smell of spray paint and cafecito drifting over from somewhere. We passed by the Miami Design District too — so many fancy shops I lost count after Louis Vuitton. I didn’t expect to see Ferraris parked outside like it was nothing.

We stopped for lunch at Sanguich, this Michelin-awarded Cuban sandwich spot that’s apparently famous with locals (and now I get why). The bread had this perfect crunch and there was mustard everywhere — in a good way. Lunch isn’t included but honestly, you’d want to try it anyway. Mike laughed when I tried to order in Spanish; pretty sure my accent betrayed me. After that we rolled past Miami’s oldest church and some wild luxury car dealerships before looping back toward Port Miami — which is massive by the way; cruise ships look unreal up close.
