The Experience

The Malolo leaves Ma'alaea Harbor and heads out along the Maui coastline as the sun drops toward the West Maui mountains. You choose your spot—inside the cabin or outside on the deck—and settle in for the two-hour cruise. Once you're past the harbor, the galley opens and you can order a cocktail, cold beer, glass of wine or snacks whenever you want them. Island music plays in the background. The views take in Kahoolawe, Lanai and Molokai across the water.

Seating fills on a first come, first served basis, so arriving early gives you the pick of the deck. The boat operates in all weather, so bring a light layer even if the forecast looks clear. Two restrooms are onboard. If you plan to drink, bring your valid photo ID—it's required for anyone 21 and up. Bring cash if you want to tip the crew; onboard purchases only take physical credit cards, not cash or tap payments.

Check in 30 minutes before departure. The cruise runs every day and requires 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
