West Maui and Molokai 60-Minute Helicopter Tour: Expert narration included
Waterfalls and sea cliffs only a helicopter reaches
A 60-minute helicopter tour over West Maui and Molokai with a live English-speaking pilot narrating the route. You'll fly over dormant volcanoes, lush rainforests, Hawaii's tallest waterfalls including the 1,750-foot Kahiwa Falls, and the world's tallest sea cliffs along Molokai's isolated north shore. The shared cabin holds up to six passengers plus the pilot.
Step-by-step itinerary
West Maui and Molokai helicopter tour
- Fly over West Maui mountains
- See rainforest, coastline, and beaches
- View Kaanapali and Kapalua resorts
- Soar above Hawaii's tallest waterfalls
- Fly over Molokai's north shore sea cliffs
- Discover Halawa Valley waterfalls
The Experience
The flight departs from Maui and climbs over the West Maui mountains, where you move through views of rainforest, coastline and beaches before crossing toward Molokai. The route then follows Molokai's remote north shore—a stretch of coastline that has no road access and can only be seen from the air. You'll pass Halawa Valley with its two large waterfalls, then soar above the sea cliffs that rise higher than any others on earth. The 1,750-foot Kahiwa Falls drops down the mountainside as the pilot narrates what you're seeing below.
You'll also fly over the resorts of Kaanapali and Kapalua, seeing how the developed west side of Maui sits against the raw landscape inland. The entire flight lasts 60 minutes. A live guide in English provides narration throughout, so you get context for what you're looking at instead of just the view. The helicopter is a shared cabin, so you're flying with up to five other passengers and the pilot—not a private charter.
Wear dark clothing to reduce window reflections and get clearer photos. No bags are allowed on board, and you'll need to arrange your own parking at the heliport (credit card required at the QR code). Contact the operator at least 72 hours before your flight to confirm your check-in and departure time. Flight routes may shift depending on weather conditions.
