The Ferguson Mansion, completed in 1905, anchors one part of the walk—a house that saw only one family live there as intended before becoming a funeral home in the 1920s. Conrad's Castle, an 1890s limestone mansion, represents the architectural ambition of Kentucky's Gilded Age and carries its own reputation for hauntings. Central Park, designed by the same landscape architect who created New York City's Central Park, sits at the heart of the neighborhood and takes on a different character after dark. The tour also includes a stop at a gnarled, twisted tree adorned with trinkets and charms, each one tied to a local story.
