The experience

You arrive at the dock and board a private boat with a live guide who handles the setup. The charter targets the backcountry and shallow channels where the fish hold: snappers, jacks, sharks, tarpon and barracuda move through these waters depending on the season and conditions. You cast with live bait (pinfish, pilchards or crabs), and the guide reads the water, positions the boat and coaches you through the fight when something takes. All rods, reels and tackle are rigged and ready. Your fishing license is covered.

The trip runs four hours, which leaves room for a second activity or a leisurely lunch afterward if you're splitting your day. The charter is built to flex, whether you want to fish hard the whole time, spend an hour at the sandbar and drift, or mix both, the guide adjusts to what you want the day to be. Infants can come along (they sit on an adult's lap), and the boat works for any fitness level.
