The experience
The day starts with a 15-minute hike upriver from the launch point. Then you get in the tube and coast downstream for roughly an hour, moving at the river's pace with views of the surrounding landscape. The water is ice cold even in summer: refreshing on a hot day, but something to expect. After you float back to the pickup zone, there's a 25-minute hike back to where you started.
Coach BLA leads the group and handles the logistics. All you bring is yourself and shoes that won't slip off in the water (water shoes or sneakers work, but no slides). The tube and lifevest are provided. Groups stay small enough that you're connecting with fellow participants, not getting lost in a crowd.
What’s included
- Tube and lifevest.
- live guide in English.
- 15-minute nature hike before and after the float.

Is this one for you?At two hours total, this outing fits into a morning or early afternoon without eating up your whole day, so you can explore other parts of Atlanta afterward. The hikes bookend the float, so you're moving between different parts of the experience rather than sitting in one spot.
