The experience
The Naples estuaries come alive at sunset, and the Hobie Pedal Drives let you cover more water and navigate currents without the fatigue of paddling alone. You choose whether to pedal or paddle: the pedal option works like a bicycle underwater, letting you steer and move hands-free. Mike, the owner and guide, leads groups through mangrove tunnels where the water narrows and the trees close in overhead. April through October, manatees are most active in these waters. Dolphins show up year-round. The tour also stops at a secluded beach where the light is best for photos and shelling.
A cooler packed with ice and bottled water stays with you the whole time. Life jackets and dry bags are provided. Mike takes complementary photos during the tour so you have the moment without holding a camera. The three-hour outing works for all fitness levels and all ages: kids under 12 ride in a tandem kayak with an adult. Public transportation options are nearby if you're traveling without a car.

Is this one for you?Choose the single kayak if you want to pedal independently. Pick the tandem if you're bringing a child under 12 or prefer a shared kayak. The pedal system handles currents and lets you rest your arms, making the three-hour sunset run manageable for anyone comfortable on the water.
