The experience
Captain Rob built this charter around people who need a break (families touched by tragedy, cancer survivors, combat veterans and Purple Heart recipients fish free with advance notice), but all anglers are welcome. The boat launches from Fort Walton Beach, Niceville or Destin depending on your location, and the sheltered bay means a smooth ride even for first-timers and young children. You'll fish for redfish, jack crevalle, mangrove snapper, black drum, flounder and trout depending on the season and what's biting. Captain Rob reads the water and adjusts the plan to match your experience and what you want to catch.
The Dress Blues is a 25-foot Dorado center-console powered by twin Mercury 300 engines, launched in 2024. You get shade, comfortable seating, a private head and everything you need to fish: rods, reels, live bait and your Florida fishing license are all included. The only thing you bring is drinks and snacks in a small cooler. At the end of the day, Captain Rob cleans and packages your catch so you can take it home or to a restaurant to cook.
The two-hour Memory Maker trip keeps you close to the dock for quick catches, designed for young families and first-time anglers who aren't ready for a full day on the water. The three-hour and four-hour options give you more time to explore the bay and chase different species as the tide and conditions shift.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What fish will I have a chance to catch on Choctawhatchee Bay?
Redfish, jack crevalle, mangrove snapper, black drum, flounder and trout are the main species you'll target, though what's biting shifts with the season and tide. Captain Rob adjusts the strategy based on conditions when you arrive.
Do I need my own fishing license and gear?
No. Your Florida fishing license, all rods and reels, live bait and tackle are included in the trip. You only need to bring drinks and snacks in a small cooler.
What's the difference between the two-hour, three-hour and four-hour trips?
The two-hour Memory Maker keeps you near the dock for quick catches and suits young children and first-time anglers. The three-hour and four-hour trips venture farther into the bay and give you more time to target different species as conditions change.
