The experience

You arrive in regular clothes and step into a full disposable hazmat suit, goggles and gloves. The gear makes the whole thing feel like you're suiting up for an art experiment rather than a painting class. Once you're dressed, your instructor guides you into the spray booth, a room lit entirely by black light and color lights, where a Bluetooth speaker is already queued up. This is where the painting happens: you've got spray paint, brushes, water cups, glow-in-the-dark paints and a blank canvas, and the black light makes every stroke glow as you work.

The music is yours to choose. You can request your favorite playlist or songs, and the soundtrack plays while you paint: some people dance between strokes, others focus quietly, and the instructor guides you through abstract splatter techniques without judgment. The protective suit means you don't have to think about splatters or spills. The whimsy of being fully suited up is part of the experience. Everything you need to create is provided, and the fluorescent paints under black light mean your finished piece looks completely different than it would in daylight.

The class runs about an hour from start to finish. If you're booking for a group larger than 15 people, you'll need to email ahead to arrange it. All hazmat suits are sanitized after each use. If you prefer an unused suit instead, there's a $15 charge per person.
