The Escape Game Houston is a 60-minute escape room experience at City Centre where teams of up to 8 players (12 in Playground) work together to solve puzzles, find clues and complete a mission before time runs out. A dedicated game guide leads you through one of six adventures—Prison Break, Special Ops, The Heist, Playground, Timeliner or The Depths—and helps as needed. Plan 15 minutes before for briefing and 15 minutes after for photos.

The Experience

You arrive at The Escape Game Houston at City Centre, a location nestled among restaurants and shops where you can grab dinner before or celebrate after. Once your team is briefed on the mission, you have exactly 60 minutes to find clues, solve puzzles and escape the room. A live guide stays with you the whole time, offering hints when you get stuck but letting your team do the thinking. The games aren't dark or scary—they're designed to be exciting and solvable, with an exit button on every locked door if anyone needs to leave.

The six rooms each tell a different story. Prison Break has you escaping an evil warden; Special Ops sends you undercover as a secret agent; The Heist asks you to recover a stolen masterpiece; Playground turns the experience into completing a report card to reach summer break; Timeliner sends your team through time to save the future; The Depths challenges you to uncover lab secrets. Every room accommodates up to 8 players, except Playground, which fits 12. The puzzles require teamwork, communication and problem-solving—not physical strength or prior knowledge.

The experience runs 75 minutes total: 15 minutes of setup and briefing before you enter, 60 minutes in the room, and 15 minutes after to debrief and take photos. City Centre sits near public transportation and is surrounded by places to eat—Grimaldi's Pizzeria, Daily Gather and Yard House are all nearby if you want to turn the escape room into a full night out. Games are recommended for ages 13 and up, though younger players can join if an adult 18 or older participates with them.
