The experience
The trail starts at Willow Creek headquarters and climbs into terrain where wildlife encounters are frequent. You'll ride past Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer and Shiras Moose in their natural habitat, with Red Tailed Hawks and American Bald Eagles overhead. The route winds through Douglas Firs and Lodge Pole Pine, then drops down to ride along, and sometimes through, the crystal clear water of Willow Creek as it flows toward the Snake River.
The full loop takes you through Moose Meadow to a breakfast location where the meal is included. Because the trail circles back rather than retracing itself, you're seeing different views and forest the whole way. The entire ride stays inside Bridger Teton National Forest, so the landscape stays wild and the wildlife sightings stay genuine.
