The experience

Gemini Bridges sits deep in the Moab backcountry, far enough that most visitors never reach it. An electric dirt bike gets you there under your own power and at your own pace. The bikes are quiet and easy to handle, so you spend the ride focused on the terrain instead of fighting the machine. The tour winds up the mountainside through switchbacks with views of the Moab valley and Arches National Park, then drops into a canyon lined with stone spires and ancient sandstone formations, past the Goonie-Bird rock spire.

The real payoff is the walk to Gemini Bridges itself. After 300 meters on foot, you reach the massive double bridge formation and stand in the middle of 360-degree desert views. Brave riders venture across the top of the bridge for photos. Others stay on the approach and soak in the scale of the place. The return ride retraces the route back through the landscape to the starting point.

A live guide leads the tour in English and stays with the group throughout. You'll need closed-toe shoes, a water bottle and sunscreen. Long pants and sunglasses are recommended for wind and dust. The bikes come with DOT-certified helmets and safety equipment, plus knee and shin guards on request. Minimum height is 5'5", and riders should have at least moderate fitness for the switchbacks and the walk.
