The experience

You show up at the boat 20–30 minutes before your flight time. The crew gets you into the harness, clips you to the towline, and you stay seated on the platform at the stern until they're ready. When it's your turn, the boat accelerates and you lift off the water without a running start. The tow does all the work. You're in the air for your flight while the other passengers on board watch and wait for theirs. Everyone rotates through, so the boat keeps moving and nobody's standing around idle.

At 400 feet, you're high enough to see the coastline, the sandbars, and the curve of the beach without the noise and vibration of a plane. The guide is there the whole time, speaking English, and the crew watches your flight from below. You come back down the same way you went up: the boat slows, you descend toward the water, and they bring you in to land on the platform. The whole experience is about an hour from start to finish, including the wait for your slot and the ride back to shore.

Weight limit is 250 pounds, and you need at least moderate fitness. This is not a passive ride.
