Fayetteville Outdoor Escape Game: Audio Quest with Monsters
Rescue monsters and defeat villains while exploring Fayetteville on your own schedule.
Monsters M.I.A. is a self-guided GPS audio game in Fayetteville where you and your group solve clues, answer trivia, and rescue baby monsters across the city using your phone and a walking or driving map. The game runs about 2.5 hours at whatever pace suits you, with no fixed tour schedule or guide waiting. You choose how many devices to use (one to four), and a scoring system tracks who becomes the ultimate M.I.A. recruit.

The experience
After you book, you'll get emailed instructions to download the app plus two prep videos (a backstory and a gameplay tutorial), so you can arrive ready to play. Press start on your phone or car speakers and follow Jade's hilarious audio cues as you navigate to each stop. At every location you'll tackle puzzles and answer questions designed for ages 7 and up, all while racing to arm the monster trap and defeat the goofy villain Jesss. The game keeps score as you go, so your group can compete to see who racks up the highest Recruit Score.
You pick whether to walk or drive the map, which means the game fits your group's energy level and how much ground you want to cover. The GPS directions are optional. You can navigate by the map alone or turn on turn-by-turn guidance. Since there's no fixed schedule, you start whenever you're ready and pause whenever you need to. Customer service is available if you get stuck on a puzzle or have questions mid-game.
You'll need a charged phone or device with the app installed and your own headphones or earbuds if you're walking. If you're driving, the audio plays through your car speakers. The game doesn't include transportation between stops, so you're either walking the route or driving your own vehicle. Public transit options are nearby if that works better for your group.

Is this one for you?Pick the walking map if your group wants to explore neighborhoods on foot and take time between stops. Choose the driving map to cover more of Fayetteville and move faster through the game. Either way, you control when you start, how long you linger at each location, and whether you finish in one go or spread it across a couple of visits.
Top questions
How many people can play on one device?
One device works for your whole group. Everyone gathers around the phone or listens through the car speakers and solves puzzles together. If you want multiple teams competing separately, you can book two, three, or four devices at checkout and split into groups.
What happens if we get stuck on a puzzle?
Customer service help is available, so you can reach out if a clue isn't making sense or you need a nudge to move forward. The game is designed to keep moving, so support is there to keep the fun going.
Can kids ages 7 and up really do this, or is it too hard?
The puzzles and trivia are built for ages 7 and up, mixing riddles and questions that work for mixed-age groups. Younger kids often surprise you with the answers, and the audio story keeps everyone laughing along the way.
Do we have to finish in 2.5 hours, or can we take longer?
The 2.5-hour estimate is how long most groups take, but you set the pace. You can stretch it out, take breaks, grab food, or move faster. There's no timer or guide waiting for you.
What's the difference between the walking and driving maps?
The walking map takes you through Fayetteville on foot, hitting stops within walking distance of each other. The driving map covers more ground by car, so you see more of the city in the same amount of time. You choose which one fits your group when you book.
