The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your Miami hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle and heads straight to Everglades Park. Once there, you board an airboat for 40 minutes gliding across the water: close enough to see alligators in their natural habitat and watch for rare bird species. The shallow draft of the airboat lets it reach deeper into the wetlands than larger boats, and the guide points out the ecosystem as you move through it.
After the airboat ride, you attend an alligator show where the guide shares facts about the creatures and explains why conservation matters in the Everglades. There's time to take a photo to mark the visit. The whole experience (airboat, show, and the ride back to Miami) takes about four to five hours, ending at your original pickup point.
A $35 per person balance is due in cash on board to complete the booking. The guide speaks English or Spanish, and the tour suits all fitness levels.
