Snorkeling in Destin: 3-Hour Dolphin Cruise with Gear
Three hours: snorkel the shallows, then hunt dolphins from the boat
A 3-hour snorkeling and dolphin cruise in Destin combines an hour in the Gulf with mask and fins provided, followed by a guided boat search for dolphins in the harbor and open water. All snorkeling gear is sanitized between uses; complimentary beer, wine, soda and water are served during the dolphin portion. Tickets must be picked up one hour before departure.
The Experience
The first half of the cruise puts you in the water with a full snorkel setup—mask, fins, snorkel and boogie boards or lifejackets if you want them—all sanitized and ready. You'll work the shallow Gulf waters off Destin while the crew watches for dolphins and keeps an eye on the group. The gear stays with you the whole time; nothing to rent separately or figure out on the spot.
Back on the Sea Blaster, the second half is the hunt. The boat cruises the harbor and open water looking for dolphins while the crew plays music and lets kids take a turn at the wheel if they want. This is when the bar opens—beer, wine, soda and water flow freely for the rest of the ride. You're dry, you're moving, and the whole vibe shifts from work to watching.
Arrive in a swimsuit; bring a towel, sunscreen and anything else you need for sun protection. The boat leaves from HarborWalk Village in downtown Destin. Tickets have to be picked up one hour before the cruise time, so plan for traffic and parking—that hour is not negotiable.
