The experience

The museum centers on dinosaur replicas constructed by paleo-artists using actual dinosaur bones as molds. You'll encounter everything from the four-winged microrapter (only one foot tall and the most abundant non-bird dinosaur) to the tyrannosaurus rex with its massive skull and counterbalancing tail. Each display includes printed descriptions in English that explain what dinosaurs ate, what their names mean, and how they differ from modern animals. There's no fixed route or guide narration. You spend as much time as you want with each replica.

The scavenger hunt sends you through the museum to locate fossils permanently positioned inside, turning the visit into a search. Documentary films play in a small screening room whenever you're ready to watch them. Touching a real dinosaur bone is included: a tactile moment most kids remember. The museum sits on Highway 76 next to the World's Largest Toy Museum and across from Bigfoot Fun Park, so it's easy to combine with other Branson attractions in a single outing.

Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller, and all areas are wheelchair accessible. Service animals are welcome. Public transportation options are available nearby if you're not driving.
