The experience

You arrive at the launch point and get fitted with a life jacket and safety equipment. The jet ski holds up to three people: two adults and one child, or you can ride solo or in pairs if you pay extra. The guide briefs you on the machine, then you head out into the intracoastal waterways. The first six minutes take you south to the fast zone, where the water opens up and you can feel the speed. From there, you cruise past the beautiful waterfront houses along the intracoastal, seeing how the wealthy neighborhoods sit right on the water.

Next you explore through Highland Beach, a gorgeous waterfront neighborhood where you get up close to what living on the water actually looks like: docks, boats, private beaches, the whole scene. Then you head back through the fast zone one more time to chase that adrenaline rush before returning to the starting point. If you chose the snorkeling option, you'll stop along the way to drop anchor and explore the underwater wildlife the area is known for. The reef here is one of the few places in South Florida where you can snorkel straight from a jet ski. Photos and videos of the ride are included.

The whole experience runs about an hour. You can switch drivers with your group if you want everyone to get a turn at the controls. Public transportation options are nearby if you're coming without a car.
