The experience

You check in at the Backbone Adventures shop in Estes Park an hour before your ride, then drive your own car 25 minutes to the trailhead. Once there, the team covers the trail map, safety basics, and how to operate the ATV. After that, the trail is yours to ride. You set the pace and choose your line through the Rocky Mountain terrain. A guide rides alongside but stays out of the way unless you need help with technique, want to know where the best viewpoints are, or have a question about the trail itself.

The quads run the same trail as the Polaris Razors, so if your group is large or mixed, you can blend both vehicles into one ride. Fuel and helmet are included. Once you're done, you simply get in your car and head to your next stop. There's no need to return to the shop in Estes Park, which saves time if you're moving on to another part of your day.
