The experience
You drive your own UTV from Page through Northern Arizona's high desert landscape, steering across sandy washes and slickrock as your guide leads the way. The ride covers terrain that frames views of Glen Canyon's cliffs and the distant silhouette of Navajo Mountain. The timing is built around sunset, so the light on the canyon walls shifts as you ride.
Once you reach Horseshoe Bend, you leave the UTV and walk the official park trail on foot. The smooth, designated path takes you to the viewpoint where the Colorado River curves sharply through towering red rock cliffs. This is the moment the whole ride has been timed for: the light at the end of the day hitting the canyon walls and the water below.
Your guide handles navigation and leads the group through the route. You get a helmet and goggles for the ride, drinking water, and admission to Horseshoe Bend included. A $500 damage deposit is required at checkout but refundable if the vehicle returns without incident.

Is this one for you?The ride itself is the main event. You're steering the UTV across open terrain for most of the 3 hours, so this suits anyone comfortable operating an off-road vehicle and ready for the physical engagement that comes with it. The walk to the viewpoint is on a smooth, easy trail, but the UTV portion is what defines the day.
