The experience
You arrive at the indoor center in West Chester and get fitted with a bow and helmet. The host walks everyone through the basics of how to shoot, so no prior experience is needed. Then you step into the arena for roughly eight games over the hour, each one a different setup: some rounds you're on offense with the bow, others you're dodging incoming arrows while unarmed. The games move fast, five minutes per round, so the pace stays high and the strategy shifts constantly.
The foam-tipped arrows mean you can take hits without injury, and the helmets protect your head. A water break sits in the middle of the session so you can catch your breath. Groups can sign up together, or you can come as an individual and join whoever else is there that day. The whole thing is built around the idea that you're playing dodgeball with archery equipment, not learning to shoot at a target. The competition and the movement are the point.
