Step-by-step itinerary
Tiki boat cruise and sightseeing
- Board boat at Frederiksted Pier
- Cruise St. Croix’s West End waters
- Pass Historic Fort Frederik
The experience
What time of day matters most to you? The light of afternoon or the colors of sunset? The two departures from Frederiksted Pier follow the same route through St Croix's West End waters, passing the Historic Fort Frederik as it rises from the harbor, but the beach cruise and sunset cruise each set their own pace and mood. A USCG-certified captain and crew run the boat, and you're free to bring your favorite drinks and snacks for the whole trip.
The cruise itself runs about an hour and forty-five minutes. You'll float past the fort, then the boat anchors in the clear Caribbean so you can jump in and swim if you want to. The tiki setup (Bluetooth speaker, full cooler of ice, and that welcome rum colada) is already on board. Bring a towel and sunscreen. The water is the main event once you're anchored.
You need to be able to walk up and down three steps to board the vessel, and the crew serves alcoholic drinks only to travelers 18 and older. Children from age 16 are welcome on the cruise. There's no restroom on board, so plan accordingly before you leave the pier.
