The experience

The dive starts at the Fairmont Fujirah beach resort diving center, where the team fits you with scuba equipment and walks you through the setup before the boat trip. You'll travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the dive site with restroom facilities on board. An English-speaking instructor meets you at the water and controls the descent.

Dibba Rock is a small island roughly 100 meters across. The captain drops you and your instructor at 4–6 meters depth. In the shallows you'll see parrotfish, giant pufferfish, trumpetfish, batfish, lionfish, scorpionfish, moray eels and sergeant major fish. As you fin into the deeper sections on the north and east sides, the species list grows: squid, cuttlefish, black-tip reef sharks, cowtail stingrays and eagle rays appear. If luck holds, a whaleshark.

All scuba and snorkeling equipment is included, along with air-conditioned transport and the guide. The full outing runs eight hours from pickup.
