The experience

You get picked up from your hotel in the late afternoon and driven into the Lahbab Desert, where the real ride starts. A licensed driver takes the wheel of a 4x4 and spends 45 minutes pushing the vehicle up and down the dunes at angles that feel steeper than they probably are. The sensation is genuinely close to a roller-coaster: your stomach lifts on the descents, the sand sprays, and the horizon tilts. You can take pictures during the run and watch the light change as the sun drops toward the desert floor.
