You've got a free afternoon in Dubai and want to trade the city for the desert before sunset. The quad bike experience starts with hotel pickup and a drive to the dunes, where you'll ride powerful ATVs for one hour across high and extreme terrain: the kind of riding that demands focus and leaves you covered in sand. You'll stop on the highest dunes to watch the sun drop, then try sandboarding on the slopes and take a camel ride at a slower pace to balance out the adrenaline.

Once the light goes, you head to a traditional desert camp where the pace shifts entirely. A BBQ buffet arrives with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, unlimited water and soft drinks, and a henna artist who can paint a temporary tattoo on your arm. The evening wraps with a live show: belly dancing, tanoura (spinning skirt) dancing, and other performances, in the camp itself. Wear light clothes, bring a scarf for the evening (the desert cools fast after dark), and don't eat a heavy meal in the two hours before you ride.
