The Experience

We were already bouncing along in the back of the Land Cruiser when I realized how quiet it was outside — just the tires crunching over sand and our driver, Imran, humming something under his breath. The camel made this deep sighing noise every few steps; I tried to copy it and got a side-eye from both animal and handler. Li laughed when I tried to say thank you in Arabic — probably butchered it.
