The experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel in Dubai, Sharjah or Ajman, then heads straight into the Lehbab Red Arabian Desert. A driver takes the 4x4 over the dunes for dune bashing, then stops for sandboarding on the high dunes during sunset. The light here is the reason the photo stop matters. You'll ride a camel for a short stretch before the group moves to the Arabian camp for the rest of the evening.

At the camp, the buffet dinner spreads across veg and non-veg options, fresh fruit, and unlimited soft drinks, tea and coffee. Five live shows run through the night: belly dance, Tanoura spinning, Yalla, and Arabic dance. Henna tattoos are available if you want them, and adults can order shisha. The camp has open-air Majlis-style seating and runs with music and lights. If quad biking or buggy riding interests you, the guide can arrange it during the tour.

The whole experience lasts 6 hours from pickup to drop-off. The tour is wheelchair accessible, and infants can sit on an adult's lap or ride in a stroller. It suits all fitness levels. During Ramadan (mid-February to mid-March), live entertainment and certain activities shift, so check the dates if you're traveling then. Alcoholic beverages aren't included, but stalls on-site sell them at your own cost. Note that alcohol isn't available during Ramadan.
