The Experience

We slid into the back seat of the 4x4 just as the city was waking up — you could smell cardamom drifting from somewhere, maybe a bakery tucked behind the main road. There was this moment on Dubai Marina Walk where everything went quiet except for seagulls and distant boat horns — I still think about that view sometimes.

I didn’t expect to feel so small in a city built on such big dreams. By the time we reached Dubai Water Canal, my head was spinning from all the contrasts: ancient markets next to glass towers, incense mixing with car exhaust, laughter echoing off marble floors in shopping malls.
