The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your hotel. Your guide meets you and drives into the desert, where the pace shifts the moment you climb onto a camel. The 45-minute ride takes you across the Arabian Desert as the light changes—your guide walks alongside, gives you instructions on mounting and dismounting, and captures photos. This is not a rushed gallop; it is a slow, deliberate crossing of open sand.

As the sun sets, you reach a Bedouin-style tent where you sit and watch. Arabic coffee, tea, dates and Arabic sweets arrive, and the falcon show begins—birds trained and flown by handlers, part of the traditional Emirati heritage. After this, the group moves to the main base camp, a recreation of how Bedouins lived. Here the evening opens up: you can have your hands decorated with henna, stand for photos holding a falcon, and move at your own pace through the camp before dinner is called.

The VIP BBQ dinner is served at your table—a spread of Arab dishes, not a buffet line. While you eat, the Tanoura dancers (spinning in tall felt hats) and belly dancers perform in front of you. The entertainment runs through the meal. Shisha is available for an extra charge if you want it. After dinner, your guide drives you back to your hotel, arriving around six hours after you left.
