The tour starts with a pickup in an air-conditioned 4x4, then heads into the desert for dune bashing led by an experienced driver. The vehicle tackles the rolling dunes while you watch the landscape shift from city edge to open sand. Once the light begins to drop, the drive winds down and you arrive at the desert camp, where the rest of the evening unfolds in one place.

At the camp, you move through a sequence of activities without needing to plan transitions. Camel rides let you cross the sand the way traders did; sandboarding gives you a run down the dunes on a board; henna artists apply traditional tattoos while you sit; and costume photos put you in Arabic dress against the desert backdrop. Between activities, tea, coffee, Arabic sweets and soft drinks keep pace with the evening. Sheesha is available if you want it.

As darkness settles, the live entertainment begins: belly dancers, tanoura spinning, fire shows and dabke dancing fill the camp with music and movement. The BBQ buffet arrives with both vegetarian and meat options, served under the stars with the dunes visible in the darkness around you.
